Thank you to our customers who supported Red Jewel Nursery through the difficult 2019 harvest. We thank you for your understanding. With regards to the upcoming 2020 season, please be aware that due to the continuing drought conditions, no bare root runners will be produced at our Ballandean Nursery. We will have a limited quantity of plug plants available from our Armidale Nursery, so please contact Elise if you are interested in ordering plug plants.
A quick reminder that the priority date for 2019 Strawberry Bare Root Runner and Strawberry Plug Plant orders is fast approaching. Orders must be received with the appropriate deposit by 7 September 2018 to be classed as a Priority Order. Please contact our office or Elise if you have any queries.
To assist growers in assessing the varieties they may wish to trial, Red Jewel Nursery is offering growers the opportunity to view the most recent in variety trials, predominantly releases from the DAF Northern Node breeding program at the Red Jewel Research Farm on 29 August 2018. There will be in-field viewings of the plants and fruit as well as taste tests and current data presentations.
This Field Walk will enable growers to ask any questions and discuss projected availability of plants for the 2019 season before the priority order date of 7 September 2018. Details of the Field Walk are:
